B-Stance Deadlift
Hamstrings · Glutes · Lower back · Dumbbell
How to do it
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand with your working leg forward, taking most of your weight.
- Slide the other foot back until only the ball of that foot rests lightly on the floor, like a kickstand, for light balance only.
- Hinge at the hips, pushing your glutes back while keeping your front knee only slightly bent and your back flat.
- Lower the dumbbells along your shins until you feel a stretch through the hamstring of the front leg.
- Drive your hips forward to return to standing, keeping the load on the front leg throughout.
- Complete all reps on one side before switching the stance to work the other leg.
