Battle Rope Slams
Shoulders · Abdominals · Lats · Quadriceps · Battle ropes
How to do it
- Anchor a heavy battle rope at its center and stand facing the anchor with an end of the rope in each hand, feet shoulder-width apart and knees soft.
- Hinge slightly at the hips and raise both arms overhead together, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.
- Drive both arms down explosively, slamming both ends of the rope into the ground at the same time.
- Absorb the rebound and immediately reverse the motion, whipping the rope back overhead for the next rep.
- Brace your core and keep your knees soft throughout, using your hips and legs to help drive the power rather than your arms alone.
- Continue at a steady, explosive pace for the prescribed time.
