Bodyweight Sissy Squat
Quadriceps · Calves · Glutes · Bodyweight
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding onto a sturdy support such as a squat rack or door frame with one hand for balance.
- Rise onto the balls of your feet and keep your body in a straight line from knees to shoulders throughout the movement.
- Bend your knees and push them forward while leaning your torso back, keeping your hips extended, until you feel a deep stretch in the quadriceps.
- Lower yourself only as far as you can control, stopping short of the floor.
- Reverse the motion by contracting your quadriceps to pull your knees back and return to standing.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, using the support only as needed for balance.
