Dead Hang

How to do it

  1. Grab a pull-up bar with both hands, overhand grip, shoulder-width or slightly wider.
  2. Step or hop up so your feet leave the ground and let your arms straighten fully, taking your full bodyweight through your hands.
  3. Relax your shoulders down away from your ears for a passive hang, letting your shoulder blades and ribcage decompress.
  4. Keep your legs still and your body from swinging, breathing steadily throughout.
  5. Hold for the desired time, then lower yourself back to the ground with control.
