Lateral Shuffle

How to do it

  1. Start in a low athletic stance, feet under hips, knees bent, chest up, weight on the balls of the feet.
  2. Push off the trailing foot and step laterally with the lead foot.
  3. Slide the trailing foot in to close the gap without letting the feet cross or click together.
  4. Keep the stance low and the steps short and quick throughout.
  5. Move for the set distance or time, then repeat leading with the other side.
