Lateral Step-Up
Glutes · Quadriceps · Abductors · Hamstrings · Plyo box
How to do it
- Stand side-on next to a step or box with your inside foot placed fully on top of it.
- Brace your core and keep your pelvis level, avoiding any hip hike.
- Drive down through the foot on the box to stand up tall, letting your trailing leg swing through without pushing off the floor.
- Keep your working knee tracking in line with your toes, not caving inward, as your leg straightens.
- Lower back down under control until your trailing foot lightly touches the floor.
- Complete all reps on one side, then turn and repeat on the other side.
