Machine Assisted Dip
Triceps · Chest · Shoulders · Assisted pull-up and dip machine
How to do it
- Set the pin in the machine's weight stack to the amount of assistance you need; more weight selected gives more help and an easier rep.
- Kneel on the pad or step onto the footplate below the handles, and grip the dip handles at your sides with straight arms.
- Lift your knees or feet off the support so the machine carries the selected amount of your bodyweight.
- Lower yourself by bending your elbows until your upper arms are roughly level with the floor, keeping your torso upright or leaning forward slightly.
- Press back up by extending your elbows until your arms are straight again.
- Repeat for the set, then return your knees or feet to the support before you let go.
