Plank Shoulder Tap

How to do it

  1. Get into a high plank (push-up) position, hands directly under your shoulders, feet slightly wider than hip-width for a stable base.
  2. Brace your core and keep your body in a straight line from head to heels, hips level and squared to the floor.
  3. Without rotating or rocking your torso, lift one hand off the floor and tap the opposite shoulder.
  4. Return that hand to the floor under control and repeat with the other hand tapping its opposite shoulder.
  5. Keep your hips as still as possible throughout, resisting any side-to-side sway.
  6. Continue alternating hands for the prescribed number of taps per side.
