Single-Leg Press
Quadriceps · Glutes · Hamstrings · Leg press machine
How to do it
- Sit in the leg press with your back and head flat against the pad, and place one foot centered on the platform, hip-width from the midline.
- Rest the other foot off the platform, or lightly on the frame, out of the way of the movement.
- Release the safety catches and lower the platform under control until the working knee reaches about 90 degrees.
- Keep the knee tracking in line with the toes throughout, without letting it collapse inward.
- Drive through the whole foot to press the platform back up, stopping just short of locking the knee out.
- Complete all reps on one side before resetting the safeties and switching legs.
