Skater Squat

How to do it

  1. Stand tall on one leg with the other leg lifted slightly behind you, core braced.
  2. Reach your arms forward for counterbalance as you begin to bend the standing knee.
  3. Lean your torso forward slightly and lower your hips, letting the rear knee travel down and back.
  4. Keep the standing heel planted throughout and descend until the rear knee lightly taps the floor or a low pad, without resting weight on it.
  5. Keep the working leg from touching down and control the descent all the way through.
  6. Drive through the standing heel to return to the tall starting position.
  7. Complete all reps on one leg, then switch sides.
