Sots Press
Shoulders · Abdominals · Lower back · Quadriceps · Traps · Triceps · Barbell

How to do it
- Take a snatch-width grip on the bar and set it across the back of your shoulders, below the traps.
- Sit down into the bottom of an overhead-squat-depth squat, keeping your torso upright and chest tall.
- Brace your trunk hard and squeeze your shoulder blades together; do not use any leg drive or bounce to help start the press.
- Press the bar from behind the neck straight up to full lockout overhead, finishing with the bar over the midfoot.
- Hold the locked-out overhead position briefly while staying tight in the bottom squat.
- Lower the bar back behind the neck under control, without letting it drop or crash onto your shoulders.
