Zercher Carry

Abdominals · Biceps · Forearms · Glutes · Hamstrings · Lower back · Quadriceps · Traps · Barbell

How to do it

  1. Step up to a loaded barbell resting on a rack or blocks at roughly hip height.
  2. Bend your arms and cradle the bar in the crook of your elbows, fists held close together and elbows tucked under the bar.
  3. Lift the bar by standing tall, bracing your core hard, and keeping your chest high.
  4. Walk forward with short, controlled steps, keeping your torso upright without leaning back or rounding your spine.
  5. Keep your elbows lifted for the full distance or time; if they start to sag under the load, set the bar down.
