Zercher Deadlift

Hamstrings · Lower back · Biceps · Abdominals · Traps · Barbell

How to do it

  1. Set a loaded barbell on the floor and stand over it with feet wider than hip-width.
  2. Squat down and cradle the bar in the crooks of your elbows, hands clasped in front of your chest.
  3. Brace your core, keep your chest up, and drive through your feet to stand up.
  4. Extend your hips and knees fully at the top, standing tall with the bar held at your elbows.
  5. Reverse the motion under control, squatting back down to set the bar on the floor.
  6. Reset your grip in the elbow crooks before each rep.
